How We Do It!

You may be wondering how we can offer so much TV content at such a reasonable price.

The answer is simple: our licensing arrangement is different from the way many individual streaming services work.

We work through a content aggregator. Instead of paying separately for each individual streaming service, our system allows us to offer programming from many different content providers.

Here is how it works:

Our content providers can earn money from all of our subscribers, rather than only from the smaller number of people who sign up for one particular streaming service.

Because our system is based on a large number of subscribers, the content providers can receive a smaller amount from many customers instead of relying on a higher subscription price from a smaller number of customers.

This allows us to offer our customers access to a large variety of programming at a much lower overall price.

Why Don't We Publish Our Licensing Agreements?

Our specific licensing percentages, contract terms, and business agreements are private. We do not publish them because they are confidential business information and because we respect the privacy and business interests of our content partners. We are also bound by non-disclosure clauses in our agreements that do not allow us to share them with anyone.

These are standard practices in the streaming industry and in most other industries, as well.

For example, you would not expect Netflix, HBO Max, or another major streaming company to publicly release its private contracts with its content providers. And as we said above, these agreements are normally protected by confidentiality agreements and are considered important business information.

A Simple Example

Think about how music has changed.

Years ago, if you wanted music, you might go to a store and pay $14.99 for a CD containing 12 songs.

That $14.99 was shared among everyone involved — the store, record company, artists, musicians, songwriters, and others.

Today, you can pay a monthly fee to a service such as Spotify and have access to millions of songs.

Instead of a small number of people buying individual CDs, millions of people pay a monthly fee. The artists, musicians, songwriters, and other rights holders receive smaller amounts from a much larger number of listeners.

Our system works in a similar way.

By using a high-volume distribution model, we can give our customers access to a wide range of programming without charging a separate full subscription price for every individual content service.

That is the key to how we can offer so much content at such a reasonable price.
